i live in the midwest. no i am not a hick. i think that is such a misperception about people here, dont get me wrong there is a plethora of them, but not all of us. i grew up in a small town full of them. one of my girlfriends is in nyc working right now, everyone keeps calling her kansas and about how they thought she would be country....redic. not everyone here lives on a farm.
i love fashion. i went to school for it. it would be amazing for me to someday go to nyc or somewhere and get to experience the high end that never makes its way to kc. i get unbelievably excited when i get vogue or any of my other magazines in the mail so i can rip them open and see what the new styles are.
i work retail and LOVE it. for now. not forever. basically i get a thrill out of dressing people and them leaving happy and excited about their new clothes. its like i get to be shopping all the time :) ooooh to be a personal shopper. that would be my dream job. that or to design windows. i heart visuals too.
